**For clarification, what will you do differently from [[Usor:CandalBot|CandalBot]]? I have concerns about running multiple interwiki bots that may be running at cross purposes. Have you discussed this with Candalua and/or gotten his code for multiple interwikis on a single page? If not, how do you handle multiple interwiki links to different texts on the same subdomain (e.g. work here in Latin links to two translations on en.ws)? I stopped running my interwiki bot ([[Usor:Interwiki-Bot]]) because I couldn't do as good a job as Candalua could. Comments Candalua? :::Actually, I think the problem is in the mainspace where books link to multiple translations on the same language (and if oldwikisource becomes mul.ws then where there are two works on mul). I have no objection if you go ahead and keep running without the flag and I'll wait for Candalua to comment. Assuming no one opposes, I'll flag you if Candalua says it's not going to be an issue. Hi folks. First thing: as I already said to Gedawy, the Wikisource namespace is one thing; the main namespace, aka ns0, is a different thing! [[Foo]] is in ns0, but [[Wikisource:Foo]] is in Wikisource namespace. It looks strange that you want to run a bot without knowing about namespaces, but I hope it's a just a distraction. Anyway:
* if you run the standard pywikipedia software, we can easily trust you as a bot operator as long as you don't run in ns0, only in the other namespaces. Do some more edits here just to see that you're doing good, and we can give you the flag.
* if you run my patch, you must know exactly what you're doing. It's possible that the patch works for the version of pywikipedia that I'm using, and that it doesn't work for the version you're using. Or things like that. For this reason, before I give you the patch, I must be sure that you know what to do with it.
So: I suggest you use the standard pywikipedia for now, and then we'll see. It's also possibile that the patch will be included in future versions of pywikipedia. (Doug, I sent you an email on January 5, for you to share it with the developers, then I completely forgot the matter: do you have updates about that?) *You have 7 edits, 4 of them right here, and no mainspace edits. I don't believe you are familiar with this wiki. Take a look at [[Specialis:ActiveUsers]] and [[Specialis:Census]] and I think you'll realize that a welcome bot is a bit overkill for this subdomain, and that's putting it mildly. You could manually welcome all the new users about as quick as you could run your bot and welcome from a bot here says that even the few active users we have aren't actually home so we need a bot mind the house.
