XXXVII.

1 Exsistunt stellæ et in mari terrisque. (xxxvii.) Vidi nocturnis militum vigiliis, inhærere pilis pro vallo fulgorem effigie ea. Et antennis navigantium, aliisque navium partibus, ceu vocali quodam sono insistunt, ut volucres sedem ex sede mutantes : graves, quum solitariæ venere, mergentesque navigia, et si in carinæ ima deciderint, exurentes ; geminæ autem salutares, et prosperi cursus prænunciæ : quarum adventu fugari diram illam ac minacem, appellatamque Helenam, ferunt ; 2et ob id Polluci et Castori id numen assignant, eosque in mari deos invocant. Hominum quoque capita vespertinis horis, magno præsagio circumfulgent. Omnia incerta ratione, et in naturæ majestate abdita.
